Job Description About KUDC Kuwait United Dairy Company (KUDC) is committed to the highest standards of animal health and welfare. With a herd of over 3,000 cows, veterinary services are at the core of our operations, ensuring sustainable milk production and livestock well-being. Position Overview We are seeking a highly qualified **Head of Veterinary Unit** to lead all veterinary and animal health services across our farms. This senior role requires leadership, expertise, and dedication to improving animal health, biosecurity, breeding, and productivity. The Head of Veterinary Unit will also supervise the calf unit, oversee breeding programs, and guide the growth and development of cows to ensure optimal herd health. Key Responsibilities and Deliverables – Lead the veterinary team, providing guidance and supervision in daily tasks. – Supervise the **calf unit**, ensuring proper health, hygiene, and calf development. – Oversee **breeding programs** to improve herd genetics, fertility, and productivity. – Monitor the **growth and development** of cows, ensuring they meet health and production standards. – Design and implement herd health programs, vaccination schedules, and disease prevention measures. – Supervise diagnosis and treatment of sick or injured animals. – Maintain comprehensive medical records and herd health databases. – Train and develop veterinary staff and farm workers on animal care standards.
